Did you ever think about how everyone’s life has it’s own story? What are their hobbies? What is their favorite life experience, or maybe the most terrifying? What was their childhood like? The list goes on and on! I love learning about each of my couple’s “stories” as a whole. I always ask them,”How did you two meet?” or “How did he propose?” and even “Tell me a little about you too.” You see, by telling a story.. you’re able to make connections. (ah ha! yes!! I love it!) One of my (many) connections to these two was how they met.. and I love it! Keep reading!:)
I knew Travis from growing up at the same middle school and quickly learned that he was first cousins to my husband. When Travis started bringing Alyssa around to the family gatherings, it wasn’t unusual to introduce yourself. It only took TWO questions to realize that one of her best friends was one of my past KRP Brides!!! (you can see that wedding HERE!) But whats even MORE unique was that Travis + Alyssa met while walking down the aisle during a friends beach wedding!!! Being the only two single people in the bridal party, they naturally were partnered together.
One evening, they went back to his parents house where Travis surprised Alyssa with a bouquet of roses and made dinner! (Men! TAKE NOTE!!;)) After dinner, they went outside to a campfire and slow danced to her favorite song playing in the background. ” I hadn’t realized what it was, at first, and it only dawned on me when Travis asked if I had heard it before…Marry Me, by Train.” And In that evening..Travis asked Alyssa to be his partner, for life.
Travis + Alyssa – you two have been such an awesome and FUN couple to watch growing closer together! You both glow with joy when you’re around each other and it’s so awesome to be gaining another family member in October!! Thank you for choosing me to be a part of your awesome journey!!
