One of my favorite places to photograph engagement sessions is at Longwood Gardens because the opportunities are endless! For Cam + Tarian, it was their first time there which was fun to play “tour-guide”. (Side note: If you’ve never been to Longwood Gardens before, I highly recommend going when you have a few hours to spare and taking comfy shoes to walk in! You can thank me later!).
Sophomore year, college roommates and being the “3rd wheel” led them together. Cam + Tarian’s roommates had crushes on each other, so they just tagged along with them. Because of their varying personalities, Tarian told her roommate, “I don’t think Cam enjoys spending time with me.”
By their junior year Cam started to have feelings for her but Tarian was about to move to Australia. Unsure if he should tell her or not before she left, he decided that it was better to wait until she returned. Tarian says, “He basically waited to date me for a whole year without me even knowing.”
Due to her love of nature and flowers, Cam had asked Tarian to go back to Chanticeeler Gardens near King of Prussia. While walking on the path, they came to a fork in the road; to the right was Cam’s favorite part of the whole place, but it was swarming with people. When he started walking to the left she said, ” Wait, don’t you want to go up there?”. He reassured her that they could loop around later and guided her to a secluded area that was surrounded by white flowers. Under a few trees, he stopped, pulled the ring box out of his pocket and got down on one knee.
Cam + Tarian – I just adore you two! We didn’t have nearly enough time to hang out at Longwood Gardens – I could’ve been there all day!! So thankful that you’re a part of the Kelsey Renee Photography family and I can’t wait to journey with you guys during this time!! Enjoy some of my favorites!!
