When I was starting on my journey with photography, I never really wrapped my mind around the thought of how many people you’ll interact with when you’re a photographer (A wedding photographer at that). Almost 95% of the time I can expect at least ONE other person that I know, to attend the exact same wedding that I’m photographing that day. However, this time.. I was contacted by a previous bridesmaid that I worked with about two years ago (you can view that wedding HERE).
When I received Lauren’s inquiry for her wedding, she noted that the Groom was Jesse Ressler. After wheels were spinning and I was wracking my mind, It clicked that she is marrying my cousin. *Enter “SMALL WORLD” comment*
After the first moments of interacting with them during their session, it was noted that laughing came so easy for them. Even after two months of dating, they knew they were the perfect fit for each other, and as Lauren puts it, “We are extremely different and that is what makes us work. We can always compromise.”
After taking a surprise trip to the Smithsonian in Washington D.C., Jesse carried the ring with him all day until they found a park bench near the Lincoln Memorial. It was that evening on 12/13/14 when Jesse confidently asked Lauren to become his wife, and spend the rest of their days by each others side.
– Lauren + Jesse.. It has been such a joyful and amazing experience with you two so far, and I know your wedding day will be just as wonderful! What a perfect opportunity to continue to learn more about each other as we work up to your wedding day and after! :) Enjoy! xo! – K
