Their love story started way back in 2009, when they first met at the Manheim Farm Show Appreciation Banquet. Being on separate committees, they shared mutual friends.. one of which gave Derek’s cell number to Victoria. Fast forward to July 25th, 2015.. a day at the beach, spent with high hopes of leaving with a ring on her finger. Like any girl, Victoria was suspicious of what was “hoping” to happen at some point of the day. When It was nearing the end of their evening, Victoria had finally accepted that he wasn’t going to be asking for her hand in marriage. Knowing that she was suspicious, Derek purposely tried to throw her off by waiting until the very end of their day before leaving, and then dropped to one knee!

Derek + Victoria have such easy-going personalities and it was SO fun getting to work with them! With big smiles and glowing faces, it’s safe to say they’re totally meant for one another. It’s always so comforting knowing that your clients have trust in you, so it was only fair to have trust in them too.. even when they took me into a field with steers!! But it just proves how cool Derek + Victoria are, and how brave!! ;) I’ve been getting to know them both closer over the past few years as Victoria was a bridesmaid in a past wedding that I had, and they were guests at another.. and it is such an honor to be their wedding photographer!! June 18 can’t come fast enough!! :) xo! -K
