It was my first time back to Brandywine Manor House after quite a few years and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I remembered of the venue. The driveway winds through the property, leading you past the large pond and a beautiful stone house. There were so many beautiful aspects of the property that made it unique, including the fishpond and outdoor fireplace under the barn!
It was the most beautiful day that offered a slight breeze! For instance, it was just enough to blow Cat’s cathedral veil for portraits! Thankfully, due to the weather, they held their ceremony outdoors tucked in a little hollow in the woods where guests arrived with coats and blankets! Cocktail hour was also held outside with access to a fireplace and a view of the beautiful sunset while guests were mingling with the bride and groom.
We were all gathered closely together in a room with another (yep, you guessed it) fireplace. Stories were shared, guests were cheering and clapping and toasting to the newlyweds. It felt comfortable and welcoming and like we were more than just photographers at that moment.
Pat and Cat are the most genuine and welcoming people, who truly loved and cherished each of their guests. Walking out at the end of the evening reminded me of the incredible opportunity it is to work with amazing, kind and loving clients who make you feel like family.
In conclusion, Pat + Cat, I’m so thankful for you. For your love and open arms, welcoming me to join you (and serve you) on the most important day of your lives. To include me in your celebration, meeting your family members and giving ME the opportunity to create a friendship with you two!! Enjoy some of my favorite photos!
