Happy February! I’m not sure how we’re already finished with January 2020 already. I think each day/week/month goes faster and faster each year! Back in January I got the idea that I wanted to host a Galentines day brunch and realized that we had a weekend coming up in time for valentines day that Zach was going to be away. It was the perfect time to host and lets just say I’d be okay with it becoming a new tradition!
Ever since the thought popped in my head, I’ve been scheming up ideas with a Pinterest board and all! I could not wait for this day to arrive nor stop talking about it! I’m so thankful that it was a big hit! I invited a group of my elementary school girl friends over and they stayed around for 3 hours! It was so much fun catching up and seeing everyone again.
I’m so excited to share the final result from the brunch! As a little secret from me to you: hosting doesn’t need to be expensive. Honestly, everything you’re seeing for decor was either $5 or less from Walmart, Dollar General or Goodwill. The most expensive part was the Walmart Flowers! Surprised? Now you know and you don’t have to break the bank next time you want to host a themed meal! Enjoy!
You can’t have a Galentines day brunch without chocolate covered strawberries! *tip: I just used semi-sweet chocolate chips! The girls were talking about how good the chocolate was and I told them it was just great value brand chocolate chips! haha!
I placed a little favor for each of the girls on their plate! Inside was a super easy & delicious (& highly addicting) treat: Valentine’s Day Saltine Toffee Bark plus my homemade chocolate chip cookies!
I knew I wanted another drink besides coffee so I made a simple but tasty brunch punch! It’s the perfect way to spruce up Orange Juice by adding 7Up and White grape Juice. Topped with Orange Slices and you’re good to go!
