Doing another Wedding Photographer Branding Session is, of course, one of my favorite things. Especially when it’s a girl like Katherine in her adorable western styled home! Getting to work with Katherine was honestly like hanging out with an old friend, which is exactly what it was! I knew her for years prior and so it truly was an honor to do her branding session!
I loved that we were able to incorporate so many of her favorite things. Dolly (her pup), her daughter and husband and not to mention, some adorable coffee mugs. While a Wedding Photographer Branding Session may be the overall theme of the session, my branding sessions go deeper than that. I love to learn more about my client and their business, but also what makes them unique. How can I help them to stand out and connect with their ideal clients? These are only two examples of the questions we cover in a branding session strategy call and then this is how it turns out in real life!

Tell me about your business! What do you do?
“I’m a sunset chaser, field frolicker, natural light photographer for fun loving couples! 2022 is my 6th wedding season and I couldn’t imagine doing anything different! Since becoming a mama my business has ebbed and flowed with the changing seasons, but I am so grateful to be able to invest into my daughter and family while also getting to fill the part of my heart that is still dedicated to photography!”
Why did you get started in photography?
“I had a pretty nontraditional way of getting started, but I always cherished the relationships that I made and being able to be creative at the same time. There is no better feeling than being the one to help someone actually ENJOY having their photos taken! My WHY became a lot more obvious after getting married myself – I got to experience the blessing and gift that marriage is and I couldn’t be more excited for my couples to experience that too! This little business is one of my favorite ways to be able to love and serve others during every season of life!”
What makes your photography business unique?
“I value relationships and invest in them! My clients are way more than just clients – they are friends! I would say my natural and true to life way of editing sets me a part as well! It’s my goal to create photos that will never go out of style!”
If you were to describe your ideal clients, how would you do it?
“My ideal clients are fun loving, family oriented, positive, silly, warm & friendly, kind, down for any adventure.”
What is the biggest problem your clients have and how does your photography business solve it?
“My clients don’t want a photo experience that isn’t fun or are “trendy” photos but instead wanting photos that are warm and true to life. I invest in and get to know my couples, and provide warm & natural photos.”
I love that we were able to use this field and frolic around in it! It was perfect for Katherine and her adventurous spirit.
Another favorite thing about this field? Incorporating her daughter & husband in a few images to showcase that you can, indeed, be a wife/momma/CEO without choosing between one or the other. YES!
