I’m a morning person. I look forward to a fresh new start of a new day. With the morning sunlight streaming in, I walk around the house opening all of the blinds while coffee is brewing from the Keurig. It’s like a big deep breath of fresh air. I’m now ready to sit down and plan out my day/week.. meal plans, answering emails, bookwork, plan photoshoots, etc. What do all of those things have in common? a GOAL! With each of those tasks, I want to accomplish them and be able to cross them off my to-do list! And man, it feels GOOD.
But it’s more than just the everyday goals that I want to achieve..its also the BIG goals that take TIME and GROWTH, ones that cant just be completed over night. So I came up with a list of my top Business, Personal and Spiritual goals.. both big and small.
BUSINESS:
— Book 25 weddings this year [which would be my biggest year yet!]
— Get published [magazine, blog, etc]
— Continue to define my shooting + editing style
— Continue to deepen my friendships with my clients
— Be more involved in the photography community [attending workshops, meeting new people,
— Shoot an out-of-state wedding.. better yet, out of the country!!
— Create set hours in the office and stick to them
PERSONAL:
— Continue spending quality time with Zach, growing closer together and stregthening our marriage
— Live a healthier lifestyle / get a minimum of 3 nights a week at the gym
— Plan out a whole week of meals, every week
— Set aside time in the day to spend more time reading books
— Continue pursing friendships, both new and old
— Make it a priority to spend more time with our grandparents
SPIRITUAL:
— Find a good devotional book and stay committed to reading it [and set aside time to do it]
— Start/be a part of a small group at church
— Choose happiness over everything
— dig deeper in my faith
.. And the list could go on and on!! Having a goal in life is always something I am either 1.) changing or 2.) making ways to conquer it. It’s what I wake up for in hopes of being one step closer to crossing it off my list. Without a goal in life, what’s there to try and accomplish? Where’s the motivation to learn and to grow? So tell me, what dreams and goals do you have on your list??
