Quite a few years ago (at least 7+ years) my church took a bus trip out to Montana to help the building and painting process of a new church that was starting up. On this bus, there were other families with children my age that I got to play with and get to know.. one family specifically being The Horning’s. Fast forward to life after high school, when one of the Horning daughters booked me as her wedding photographer. It was so fun getting to reconnect with the family and see everyone again! A few years since that wedding, Janelle contacted me saying that her boyfriend proposed to her and just how excited she was. She mentioned that Austin Horning was her, now, fiancé and I’m pretty sure at that point my mouth dropped open.. HOW is he old enough to be getting married ALREADY?! I met him when he was like 10!!! It’s crazy how quickly things change! :)
We met at Hershey Gardens and the forecast was perfect for the evening! Clear blue skies with sun shining meant that they were in for a good evening of golden hour light!! I loved working with Janelle and Austin not just because of their super sweet, joyful and welcoming personalities but because they also just naturally looked in love. Without a doubt you could see they just loved being around one another with the way they looked at each other and giggled their way through their session! This is a photographer’s dream! When we were finished with the session and walking to the other side of the entrance, God painted the prettiest pastel-colored sunset!! Being the incredible couple they are, Austin and Janelle agreed to a few last portraits and I’m so thankful that they did!!! I loved capturing their engagement session and I can’t wait to show you my favorites!!
Austin + Janelle, thank you so much for an incredible evening together and being so willing to squeeze in a few last portraits at the end!! I had such a delightful time with you guys and cannot wait until your wedding in April!! Xox!! Enjoy!!
