Caroline and I go back to our High School days where we first met either through her cousin Jessica, who was a part of my “friend group” in school. We also had mutual friends throughout the years and we also saw each other while playing against each other in soccer ;) When Caroline contacted me I was beyond thrilled and also super nervous that I wouldn’t be available for her wedding date.. but thanks to Friday weddings, I was available!!

While being hours and many miles apart, Zach + Caroline are finishing up with grad school in separate states.. Caroline in NYC and Zach in Virginia. The best part of this story is that Zach proposed in NYC (of course in the dreamy central park!) and then they traveled to Virginia to shoot their engagement images, which is where they met in undergrad. I love how they were able to tie their proposal and engagement photos together by choosing those two locations where they are currently living! How fun!

We (my husband Zach + I) met Zach + Caroline on the most beautiful property I’ve ever laid foot on (Grace Estate Winery), to shoot their engagement photos. Zach + Caroline are an incredibly FUN and adorable couple, but they’re also so amazing!! Who agrees to wake up on their SATURDAY at 7:00 a.m. to shoot photos in 32 degree windy weather..?? THEY DID. And it was definitely an experience I will never forget!! We parted ways after the session until the evening, where they met us at their favorite brewery for dinner. While getting to know each other more around the dinner table on the patio outside, I couldn’t help but take in the atmosphere and the scenery! We had an incredible view of the mountains with the sun beating down on us while being surrounded with many other people and their furry dogs and lights strung above us. It was in those moments, sitting around the dinner table with two new clients.. that made me realize just how incredible my job is. Beyond any “pretty” photograph there’s an incredible couple that I get to partner with in such a happy season in their lives,  and I couldn’t be more honored to do it year after year.

Zach + Caroline, you guys have been such a blessing and you gave me one of my favorite photography/life experiences by choosing me to journey with you in your lives for your wedding!! And for having the best idea to photograph on Grace Estate Winery in Virginia!! (which by the way, I’ll never forget that!;)) You guys were SO fun to work with, and we truly had the best time with you guys!! Thank you, thank you for everything!! We love you guys!! xo!

Oh and lastly, A Grace Estate Winery WEDDING is going to #1 on my bucket list!!! ;)
