I did a venue walk-through with Caroline on the Monday before her Saturday wedding and it was drizzling as we walked around the property. We both spoke about the weather and our hopes for a cloudy and cool day for their wedding and that’s exactly what the Lord blessed us with!! He’s so so good!!
Saturday morning was filled with many gorgeous details and a room packed full of ladies.. 12 to be exact. We listened as they talked and laughed with each other all morning. I knew that Zach + Caroline’s wedding was going to be such a fun and special day – but their wedding exceed all my expectations!
From their incredible friendships (some lasting through high school and college!), to their prayer with each other before the ceremony, their ceremony vows, their choice to share communion with each other and the incredible heart-felt speeches during the reception – it was all so encouraging. It was very obvious that Zach + Caroline have an amazing support team of friends and family that came to share in their celebration and it was so humbling to be a part of it. Zach + Caroline have such welcoming, down-to-earth personalities with a pinch of entertainment. You’ll see for yourself! ;)
Zach + Caroline – Your days of long distance are OVER FOR GOOD and I really just couldn’t be more excited for you two!! So excited to have reconnected since High school, Caroline, and the incredible honor to document and truly life giving wedding day! Thank you for being such an inspiring couple and a Godly example to follow!! LOVE YOU GUYS! Enjoy so many of my favorites from your day! – XO!
“hogs and kisses”.. totally a Caroline move. Isn’t that so cute?
Caroline ordered these sparkly KATE SPADE (my first pair to photograph!) keds so that she could dance comfortably! Have I mentioned that I have the coolest brides?! ohh caroline! also new favorite bridal portraits! ;)Moss + Vine are the best and I was So excited to photograph my first bouquet from them!! this had us all melting (and some crying!) from behind the cameras! it was so special! How pretty is this color? It’s called “dusty rose” and it’s so so pretty and matched PERFECTLY with the navy! I have no idea what he’s doing – but I love it because like I mentioned before – they have the best and funniest personalities and so it was only appropriate to include this! ;) Such a sweet moment that Kristen captured!! He was helping fix her dress before they walked down the aisle. *cue the tears!* Like, seriously. HOW SWEET! this moment always gets me.. I remember the emotions of “leaving” my parents and walking into the hands of a new life journey with my almost-husband. ahhh. such a powerful moment! officially KISSED long-distance goodbye! (see what I did there?) m-a-r-r-i-e-d! pretending that this was my house and we were using it for their wedding photos ;) FAVORITE BRIDE EVER. She just GETS me! Pretty sure we either high-fived or hugged when she told me about this idea for her wedding! I love you caroline :) we snuck out for sunset portraits and it was magical! probably the most people I’ve seen on a dance floor at one time in my 6 years of experience!!
