In true transparency, July hasn’t been the “break” that I thought it would be with having no weddings for the whole month! Instead, I’ve been getting to know more of my 2018 clients through their engagement sessions! It’s been so refreshing to stay behind the camera but without having a super long day attached to it like a wedding day! Don’t get me wrong, I love a good wedding day and spending the day with so many amazing couples and their families!! But I also love the “engagement stage” because it allows my followers to also see a glimpse of my couples journey and the weddings you get to look forward to!
With Jon & Leah’s session, you’re definitely in for some lovely goodness!! From the very moment that we met up at their engagement session, I’m pretty sure they were more excited than somebody that just won the largest lottery to date. Like honestly, I think I might have more laughing photos of them then they have just nice smiling ones!! Which is the BEST PROBLEM TO HAVE!!
So back on August 6, 2017, Jon and Leah had the whole day planned full of activities (chipotle wine tasting, tennis, mini golf, pizza and hiking! Phew!) and finished off the evening with a hike at French Creek (which was where they had their first date and carved their initials into a tree)! So as they began hiking John suggested that they go find their tree that had the initials on it. So when they finally found it, Leah searched around the tree and found their initials, but also had the words written, “marry me?”. She instantly turned around and found Job down on one knee holding the ring and also he also a gorgeous bouquet with her favorite flowers behind a tree! Obviously saying yes, they headed back to her house and celebrated with their parents and family!! <3
