I realize I’m a *little* behind on sharing this exciting news since we’re roughly only five weeks away from meeting our first child! However, it doesn’t make it any less special or important to share our gender reveal and what better time than now, right? :)
My husband and I did our own personal gender “reveal” at home by opening the envelope together to see what the ultrasound tech wrote. It truly was so special to just have that moment and time together to find out that we were having a BOY! I have always envisioned my first child being a boy, that when I saw “It’s a BOY!” on the paper – I cried. I couldn’t believe it was actually happening!
We kept the secret of the gender to ourselves until we could have our official gender reveal party with our families and friends, which was SO fun! One fun fact about our son is that he is the first grandchild on BOTH sides, the first great-grandchild on my husbands side, the first nephew on his side, and the first great-grandson for my family. So many fun “firsts” for our families, so you can imagine how excited they were when we *finally* told them we were pregnant ;)
Special thanks to my wonderful friend, Olivia and her husband, for capturing this night for us!
While you can’t tell in the photos.. my husband, Zach, tricked everyone by faking a swing that would crush the golf ball and show the color of the gender. They weren’t to pleased haha!!
It’s a BOY!!!
You can see that there was clearly NO excitement from anyone ;)
I think you can see how excited they are to be upgrading to “Nana” and “Mimi” :)
Then we went inside and enjoyed the most amazing and adorable cake from Cakeology! Jenna did an amazing job at recreating this cake that I saw on Instagram and saved it, even before I knew we were pregnant!
Let the countdown begin!
