I have (unintentionally) kept this Hair Stylist Branding Session under wraps for far too long. Thankfully today is the day that I finally get to share it with the world! Hope, with Hair by Hope Makenzie, is ridiculously talented. While I never got to work with her on a wedding day, it certainly was a treat to do her branding session.
Hope specializes in bridal updo’s and her work genuinely speaks for itself. She is extremely talented, highly educated on hair and hair extensions and goes above and beyond to make sure her updos meet her standards. Seriously so so blown away by her talent! How did you get started as a Bridal Hair Stylist?
“I am a bridal hairstylist of 6 years! I loved playing with hair ever since I can remember and I would braid my Barbie dolls hair for hours when I was young! ☺️ “
“When I was 15 years old, I officially styled hair for my first wedding and I was SO excited and happy! That day deepened my love for hair even more and I dreamed about styling hair full time for my career one day. Here I am today, a full time bridal hairstylist, styling bride’s hair on the weekends and living the very dream I dreamt about for so many years! 🥹🤍”
What makes your hair stylist business unique?
“I am a bridal hairstylist who specializes in updos! I LOVE doing all different kinds of hairstyles, including glam waves, but updos were and will always be my favorite and specialty!”
What would you tell someone who is on the fence of booking a branding session? Any advice?
“I would advise them to book with you because this is your specialty! They will most likely be disappointed with the pictures + money they spent if they’re just booking with any random photographer.”

“You are truly the best at what you do! You absolutely killed my branding session and was SO much fun to work with! I loved how you were so inspiring and encouraging all throughout the planning process which made us feel like besties when photoshoot day came! I would highly recommend you to anyone and everyone!
