When Courtney contacted me about her wedding for May 2018 at Moonstone Manor, I knew it was going to be beautiful! You may remember this couple from their destination engagement session that I did last summer! Forever reminiscing on that day! <3
May 18 marked the second official start (technically I had my very first wedding of 2018 in March) to my wedding season, which I’ve been looking forward to for as long as I can remember. We’ve talked about the wedding on different occasions and all of the little details that Courtney was planning.. which truly did NOT disappoint! You’ll see for yourself! ;) So when wedding week arrived and the forecast was calling for 100% rain, I was pretty discouraged. After purchasing extra clear umbrellas and running plan B through my head (multiple times) of where I’ll take portraits, how to still execute the first looks, and saying prayers for wisdom of how to handle the given weather forecast etc., I was ready to take on their day. Upon arriving to the venue, it was merely DRIZZLING and within a few hours, there was NO. RAIN. for the ENTIRE day until mid-way through the RECEPTION. Talk about praising the Lord!!!
Although that’s just ONE example of how the lord blessed Lavon + Courtney on their wedding day, he also gave them an army of friends and family that surrounded them in prayer, joyful cheering and plenty of conversation. I loved the way that Lavon + Courtney were very intentional about spending time with their guests, talking with them one-on-one all throughout the day and even dancing with their grandpa on the dance floor! *Insert heart eyes* With amazing live music from Modern Luxe, it truly was a night that I never wanted to end.
Lavon + Courtney – there are actually not enough words or time (!) to explain my gratitude and love for you guys. You never heard of me or my business before talking to one of your bridesmaids, but you invested so much trust in me and for that I couldn’t thank you more! We’ve become more than just clients and a photographer, but friends for life. Although I’m incredibly jealous.. I really do hope you’re having the time of your life on your honeymoon in GREECE! Xo!!
I’ve always wanted to photograph a collection of bridesmaids dresses like these – and it came true on friday!! <3
LOVED Courtney’s dress – especially the beaded sleeves!!! The perfect elegant touch!
