Remember back to last weekend when the forecast was calling for 100% rain for just about the whole weekend? I sure do! If you’ve followed along within the last week, you know that I had a double-header weekend (two weddings in two days) and the Friday wedding had ZERO rain. So I figured, “Okay what are the “chances” that I can get away with TWO rain-free weddings when it’s only calling for 100% of rain?” and I’ve said it before, Y’ALL THE LORD IS GOOD.
When I arrived at the venue, it was literally raining so hard it was dripping off my umbrella almost immediately after getting out of the car. Radar showed green over the area all day and by the time we needed to go outside for photos, it was misting.. MISTING!!! I couldn’t believe it.. again, such a miracle that the Lord showed his hand of grace on Mitch + Brooke’s wedding day!
I loved that Brooke carved out time in her timeline to a first look with her GRANDPARENTS. You guys, it was the SWEETEST thing I think I’ve photographed (besides other first looks of course) and it totally made me appreciate my relationships that I had with my grandparents and still have with my grandpa <3
Mitch and Brooke are two of the sweetest and true-to-the-core genuine people. They easily put others first and it’s so obvious how selfless they are. I love they way that they love others so deeply and truly make you feel like instant childhood BFF’s. You really need to meet them and I’m so thankful to have spent just a glimpse of time with them.
Mitch + Brooke, thank you so much for welcoming me with open arms to third wheel with you both and for thinking of ME at YOUR engagement session with a little birthday gift. Getting to know you both has been such a highlight in my life and I’m so thankful for you both!! You guys just beam happiness and I’m so excited for you and that you’re officially Mr & Mrs.!! XOXO!
