When a client books me for a Longwood Gardens Engagement session, I can’t help but get SUPER excited! I shoot at Longwood Gardens multiple times a year and that’s okay! I love it!! Upon inquiring, Rebecca said, “We love the look of Longwood Gardens shoots” and I knew we were meant to be ;)
Meet Lender & Becca!
“We met in college at East Stroudsburg University. I, personally, don’t recall the exact moment and believe that Lender sugarcoats the story (LOL). When we were at a football game on campus and I was with my brother who also attended ESU. He had some mutual friends with Lender so we got introduced to each other. “
“He claims I was wearing a t-shirt from a wrestling team that he used to coach, which is what drew in his attention. Turns out, he coached a wrestling team that used to attend a tournament at my high school. I was the wrestling manager back then and photographed all the matches, so I went back to look at the photos I took and he was in the background of them.”
“After we met that day I began seeing him around more. He invited me to a party at his fraternity house (so cliche lol) and I wasn’t really that interested in going, but ended up going anyway. After exchanging numbers there, we started to talk/hang out more often. We never really had that “we’re dating now” conversation – it just kind of happened naturally. Definitely not expected, but those are sometimes the best happenings!“
I joked to him many times before about wanting a ring and my finger feeling cold from not having anything on it. However, I wasn’t really expecting anything based on how the year went and we are kind of just a go with the flow couple.”
“I saw pictures of Winter on Broad in Philly (A Christmas lights set up at the Wells Fargo) and asked him if he wanted to go. He agreed and said it looked cool. We circled around a little bit and then he decided to ask someone to take our picture.”
“We were standing under a giant ornament made of Christmas lights and I was posed waiting for him to get ready, and then he got down on one knee. Obviously, I said yes! I was so happy and surprised at the moment :) Turns out that it actually wasn’t his official plan after all, but he said that the night I planned for us seemed like the perfect way to do it. Another unexpected happening, but it really was beautiful!”
