I’ve been wanting to do a Harrisburg Captiol Building Engagement Session ever since I was there for this styled shoot! It truly is a beautiful location and building to capture engagement photos, or really, any special photos! Thankfully, both times that I’ve been there the weather was truly perfect!
Blake and Brittany were literally so much fun to photograph – especially with their dog, Finn! He got to join in a few portraits and it’s safe to say that he did so so good! I love that clients want to incorporate pets or special props that are significant to them and are a part of their story! In other words, I’m officially counting down the days until I get to photograph their Historic Ashland wedding! Meet Blake & Brittany
“Blake & I knew each other all throughout high school as acquaintances. After high school, we would often hang out with the same group of friends and slowly started to get to know each other better.“
“About four years ago, after I recently got out of a long term relationship, we ran into each other at a restaurant. Blake decided to ask me out on a sushi date and we instantly clicked. There was no denying our chemistry and we both knew we were meant to be.“
“Blake did an amazing job at keeping the proposal a secret! I knew it was coming soon since we’d designed my engagement ring together and started to look around at wedding vendors — I actually booked Kelsey before we were even engaged!“
“Then on my birthday weekend, Blake had made reservations at a restaurant in Lancaster city. We enjoyed an incredible dinner and afterwards, I suggested we stay out for drinks. Somehow, Blake convinced me to go home and so we headed to our house.”
“After that he walked me around back to our patio and had the entire place decorated with lights, candles and rose petals. He got down on one knee and of course, I said yes! Our family and close friends were waiting inside the house to help us celebrate our engagement!”
