I recently had the absolute pleasure of photographing Lydia Eberly, the talented baker behind LE’s Cupcakes, for a branding session! And let me tell you—the photos turned out even better than I imagined! Lydia is incredibly kind and personable, and it’s clear how much passion she has for baking. I thoroughly enjoyed our time spent together, and I’m SO excited for you to get a little peek into our session!
As a certified cottage in-home baker, Lydia pours her heart and soul into every batch of cupcakes, cakes, and treats she creates. For our baker branding session, Lydia’s vision was clear: she wanted her photos to show her passion for baking. They needed to capture the joyful, welcoming energy of her brand. And they needed to showcase the care she puts into every one of her products. Whether for social media, events, or marketing, Lydia wanted images that would truly reflect the heart of LE’s Cupcakes!
A Sweet Location for a Sweet Session
We chose to shoot in Lydia’s home, which is where all the baking magic happens. Not only did her kitchen serve as a gorgeous backdrop, but it also allowed us to capture Lydia in action. From mixing ingredients to piping frosting, every photo perfectly captured Lydia’s warmth, creativity, and care.
Setting the Scene
In order to authentically tell Lydia’s story, we carefully selected props that would highlight the heart of her business. We incorporated baking tools and utensils, ingredients, and her cupcake trailer. And, of course, we also had to include photos of Lydia’s beautifully decorated baked goods that truly showcased her talent. However, I think my favorite prop from this branding session was Lydia’s grandma’s handwritten recipe and apron. They added such a sweet, personal touch!
Capturing Photos That Tell a Story
The photos from our baker branding session captured not just the sweetness of Lydia’s treats, but the heart and soul of her business. From the behind-the-scenes action of Lydia decorating cakes to the joyful moments of her baking process, we were really able to showcase her passion and dedication!
