I can positively say that my first time to Cape May, NJ Beach for an engagement session was SO FUN! Not to mention just how CUTE the town is with all of the historic and colorful houses! There were people outside dining under string lights, listening to live music while eating. Looking back, I secretly wish we would’ve booked an overnight stay to experience that and walk around a little more!
I love that my husband was able to join me for this Cape May, NJ Beach engagement session! Matt & Brynne are laid back to the core but were also super adventurous and up for anything. It was such an enjoyable evening getting to know them!
I love how we could just walk and talk from location to location!

“I am currently a cake decorator/baker and Matt works for a general contracting company. About a month ago I got a call from the middle school back home saying they wanted me to teach family and consumer science. It was pretty much a no brainer for me to accept since I would still be baking. I would just be teaching it now!”
“Matt and I met at The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Hyde Park, NY. I was the hostess at the bakery on campus and he had a class that had him walking past the bakery every day. He told me that he would purposely leave class to go to the dining hall to get a glass of milk. It turns out it was just so he could walk past and see me again.”
“He never had the courage to come to talk to me in person (which still shocks me because he is one of the most outgoing people I have ever met!). So he messaged me on Facebook saying “Are you from PA?”. (I guess he saw me wearing a Penn State shirt one day at dinner) and the rest is history. We then found out that my parents and his mom live 45 minutes away from each other. It’s crazy because people go to the CIA from all over the world and we just happened to live 45 minutes apart.”
“Matt took me to Vail one weekend in August because I love little ski towns and I wanted to visit it. We rode the gondola up to the top of the mountain and he asked me to marry him there!”
