I love when my clients bring me to their favorite places for photos. For Steve & Mary, that was to New Jersey! Their Watchung Reservation Engagement Session is one of my new favorite locations. Not just because it’s their favorite place to go on hikes, but because it was fun to incorporate the beautiful location to their images!
Steve & Mary are the sweetest people, and those types of people that you could instantly go on a double date with. You know what I’m talking about? That’s them. And I’m super excited to see them again in 2022 at their wedding and capture their sweet personalities all over again! Meet Steve & Mary!
“Steve and I met at Moravian College, where we both went to school. He was a senior and I was a sophomore when we met. He played football at Moravian, but his career was unfortunately cut short due to a horrible knee injury.“
“Despite his career ending injury, he stayed involved with the football team and was one of the equipment managers. Thank goodness he did because he caught my eye. He was on the sidelines as I was working at the football game!!”
I literally remember the exact moment – I turned to one of my BFF’s and I was like omg who is that? I’ve never seen him before!!”
“For months, my friends all knew I had a giant crush on him. We would even strategically try to bump into him on campus LOL. I don’t know why I didn’t just go up and talk to him like a normal person would. But hey, that’s ok because here we are lol.”
“One Thursday night in January I was getting ready to go out to a popular bar near campus with all my girlfriends. I never saw Steve out anywhere. I’d only seen him at football games, in the cafe getting food, and at the gym. Finally on this one Thursday night I finallllly saw him out at the bar and I went up and said hi to him. And now here we are!’
“Our 7 year anniversary weekend was approaching and Steve told me he had a special weekend trip planned for us to celebrate! We traveled to Philly, which is where I’m from and where Steve and I have made countless memories.”
“We woke up bright and early on Saturday morning and I had no clue what Steve had planned for us. The day started by him handing me 7 photos we’ve taken together throughout the city of Philadelphia over the last 7 years. We spent all day traveling through Philly and recreating the photos we’ve taken before. Which, was so much fun because some of the photos were from when we first started dating and I totally forgot we even took them!”
“For the 7th and final photo he led me to my sister’s apartment complex in Fishtown. He brought together both our families and asked me to marry him! This spot is notoriously one of my favorite spots to take pictures because of the cobble stone and string lights!”
